Join forces

On Heritage Day 2019, these organizations signed a cooperation agreement that forms the framework for the public operation and the reception of the entire Vloethemveld, the exploitation of the Kamp Vloethemveld and 't Kamphuis, as well as the guide operation. Vloethemveld vzw: Bridge between heritage, nature and visitors

De Vloethemveld vzw forms the pivot of public operations within the cooperation agreement between the municipalities of Jabbeke and Zedelgem, the Agency for Nature and Forest (ANB) and the Flemish Land Agency (VLM).

With great enthusiasm, the non -profit organization is responsible for the reception and guidance of visitors. During walks and various activities, they take young and old on a voyage of discovery through the rich history of the area and the impressive natural beauty of Vloethemveld.

Thanks to a motivated group of volunteers, the reception building, the "Kamphuis", remains accessible to the public. There they welcome the visitors with open arms and show them the way in this unique landscape full of stories.

Our labels

Protected heritage

In order to put special exemplary openings of protected real estate and sailing heritage in the spotlight, the Agency for Heritage developed an exclusive quality label: the recognition as open heritage. On the one hand, they are inspiring examples for the development and opening of other sites where people try to find a balance between heritage values and opening. On the other hand, this is a recognizable label for visitors who are looking for quality, accessible, open heritage sites.
