Climb to the top of the Heidetoren or Relax in the water hut and enjoy a breathtaking view of the quiet area. Here nature gets plenty of room to be at its best - pure, quiet and magical.

Reception gates
At the reception gates in Jabbeke and Zedelgem you will immediately receive a warm welcome. You will find handy information boards for a first introduction to the area, public toilets, parking spaces, charging points for bicycles and cozy picnic benches. From here you can immediately go on a voyage of discovery and further explore the area through various recreational paths.
Reception Gate Jabbeke offers a good starting point for various holidaymakers.
On Zedelgem Kant you get a nice introduction to the area through the permanent exhibition in the Kamphuis. This reception building is kept open by the volunteers of vzw Vloethemveld. You can find a lot of information, just to relax, register for the activities, buy hiking maps and visit the temporary exhibitions in the restored green barracks.
The Kamphuis is open every Saturday, Sunday and holiday from 1 pm to 6 pm. Free access.

Bike
From Zedelgem Hankaalpoort you can cycle towards the reception building "Kamphuis Vloethemveld". At both reception gates there are free charging points for bicycles.
Car
Parking is provided at the two reception gates Vloethemveld: reception gate Jabbeke, Aartrijksesteenweg 167 and reception gate Zedelgem P2, Diksmuidse Heirweg 6. From the Zedelgem parking you will step via the Kasseiweg to the reception square at Vloethemveld Kamphuis. Various walking and cycling routes depart from both parking spaces.

Accessibility
To be accessible, the area, the services and communication must be accessible for everyone, entered, usable, understandable and affordable. We strive for a maximum accessible access to the entire site. Where accessibility problems occur, we look for integrated solutions so that we always guarantee the fully -fledged experience of the core story for all visitors.
The reception gates and camp Vloethemveld are easily accessible for wheelchair users, with paved paths that make a large part of these zones accessible. In the publicly accessible piece, most paths are not accessible over the entire process with classic wheelchairs.
If you come to the reception building with a wheelchair, you can continue from parking P2 (Diksmuidse Heirweg 6, Zedelgem) and park at the Kamphuis, where there are 2 reserved parking spaces. And each reception gates has at least 1 wheelchair -accessible toilet.
